A cornerstone of our investments is a partnership with operating management teams or owners seeking a long-term capital and strategic partner to grow their established firm into a market leading business. We intend to focus our resources on companies that have or can establish defensible market positions, generate sustainable cash-flows, and exhibit high returns on operating capital. Select investment criteria typically include:
- Privately held company, family business in transition, operating division of a large company or small public entity interested in privatization
- Strong existing operating management team with either meaningful equity ownership or desire to have a meaningful stake
- Distressed or Special Situations
- Revenue between $10 - $100 million
- Investment / equity size between $5 - $25 million
- Enterprise / transaction value between $10 - $100 million
- Proven business model / operating income greater than $2 million
In order to execute transactions or make larger equity investments, TBG has established a few select, long-term relationships with financial partners that allow us to complete transactions up to $300 million.
