REVA, Inc., operates the largest DEDICATED fleet of jet air ambulance in North America. REVA has been providing global medical transportation services for almost two decades, including its founding years at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. The company employs 290 medical, aviation, and support professionals based in Fort Lauderdale; Phoenix, Arizona; San Diego, California, Spokane, Washington and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 2013 ACE award formally recognizes REVA's "exceptional efforts to comply with Fort Lauderdale's Noise Abatement Program and its significant contributions to the Executive Airport's safety program," said Fort Lauderdale Mayor John P. "Jack" Seiler during the December 10 reception at Executive Airport's Jet Runway Cafe. Mayor Seiler congratulated REVA CEO Stuart Hayman for "striving to help make Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport a better neighbor to the surrounding community, and for outstanding contributions in the areas of economic development and community outreach." Hayman noted that REVA recently redoubled the company's commitment to quiet operations by financing the upgrade of its entire fleet to Stage 3 jet aircraft, significantly reducing noise levels during takeoffs and landings. Dominic Acevedo, REVA's Director of Safety, said the award holds special significance for him because it cannot be applied for and is not a members-only honor. "It comes from independent research and data documented by the city's Aviation Advisory Board and City Commissioners," he said. "In the last year, REVA has more than a thousand takeoffs and landings under the airport's noise-threshold. And, as far as I know, we have never registered over-the-limit," Acevedo said, referring to airport sensors that measure and register aircraft noise levels. Acevedo also noted that REVA has been conducting "first ever" safety training sessions with local fire and rescue teams. "None of them had experienced the unique layout and configuration of an air-ambulance jet before," Acevedo said. "REVA's hazardous-materials training and orientation for the community's first responders and rescue personnel greatly enhances their ability to react knowledgeably in the event of an incident," he said. With over 20,000 successful missions, REVA provides outstanding medical transportation to ill or injured patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to locations spanning North American, the Caribbean, Central, North and South America, Europe, Asia and other international destinations. About REVA REVA, Inc., is an approved organ transportation carrier for Cleveland Clinic Florida and is accredited by the National Accreditation of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA) and the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI). REVA, Inc., air ambulance services are licensed by U.S. and international agencies, including the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA Carrier Certificate #O2JA595N), the Canadian Transportation Agency International License; and U.S. Treasury Cuban operation authorization. REVA, Inc., is the result of the 2011 merger of Aero Jet International, Inc., and Air Ambulance Professionals, and recent acquisition of American Care creating the largest DEDICATED fixed-wing ambulance service in the Western Hemisphere.
