The Beekman Group Announces Initial Closing of Beekman Investment Partners, LP
The Beekman Group (TBG) announced the initial closing of Beekman Investments Partners, LP (the “Fund”), a private equity fund focused on equity investments in small middle-market companies (revenues between $10 - $100 million) in the Financial Services and Infrastructure industries. TBG brings together an experienced team of private equity and operating professionals, as well as a group of leading operating executives (Industry Partners) from the Financial Services and Infrastructure industries. Collectively, the TBG Principals and Industry Partners have over 250 years of experience and a strong track record of success. The partners of the Fund include John G. Troiano, former Managing Director of Onex Corporation (www.onex.com), a leading North American private equity firm with $16 billion in assets, Andrew D. Cvitanov, former CEO of American Express Tax and Business Services (www.americanexpress.com/tbs) and Andrew V. Marolda, former Director, American Express Investments & Business Development (www.americanexpress.com). TBG’s Industry Partners have expertise in asset management, community banking, healthcare, insurance, security services, transportation and water services.

TBG’s investment strategy is to partner with operating management teams and create long-term, sustainable value by providing expertise across four dimensions: strategy, management, operations and finance. According to TBG’s Chief Executive Officer, John. G. Troiano, “a void of institutional capital to the small-middle market bas been created as traditional private equity firms raise larger and larger funds. TBG intends to operate with the expertise of leading private equity investors and operators, but identify the best small middle-market companies and assist these business owners grow into market leading companies.”
The Fund’s capital is being provided by a select group of leading institutions, high net-worth individuals and the partners of TBG. The firm expects to have a final closing for Beekman Investment Partners, LP later this year.
