The Beekman Group Builds its Team with a 2018 Promotion and New Investment Team Hire

The Beekman Group (“Beekman”), a leading lower middle-market private equity firm based in New York, is pleased to announce that it has promoted Jonathan Tanenbaum to Vice President and hired Will Manderscheid to join its team as a Senior Associate.  These professionals will focus on transaction execution and portfolio company management across Beekman’s industry verticals. “Jonathan has been an exceptional asset to our team since joining Beekman in 2015, and we look forward to his continued success as he adds value in this new role across the portfolio.  We are also excited to welcome Will and believe his past experiences and insights will be complementary to our investment team, especially in the industrial and business services sectors,” said John G. Over the past two years, the firm has hired several seasoned professionals to build out its platform and provide value-added resources to its portfolio companies, industry advisors and portfolio management teams.  Earlier in 2017, Beekman launched an Associate Program with its first two associate hires, and in late 2017 the firm hired Chris Artinian to join as a Managing Director covering Beekman’s consumer industry vertical, with a special focus on restaurant, hospitality, and food and beverage investments. Jonathan Tanenbaum, Vice President – Mr. Tanenbaum is responsible for transaction execution, financial analysis and portfolio company management. Mr. Tanenbaum joined the firm in 2015 and is involved in the firm’s consumer and restaurant portfolio companies. Prior to joining Beekman, Mr. Tanenbaum worked at Sun Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, in its New York office. Prior to Sun Capital, Mr. Tanenbaum worked at J.P. Morgan Securities in its Diversified Industrials and Leveraged Finance investment banking groups. Mr. Tanenbaum received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, and earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Will Manderscheid, Senior Associate – Mr. Manderscheid is responsible for transaction execution, financial analysis and portfolio company management. Prior to joining TBG, Mr. Manderscheid worked at Carlson Capital, an investment firm where he focused on public equity investments. Prior to Carlson, Mr. Manderscheid worked at Sentinel Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where he worked with industrial and business services companies. Prior to Sentinel, he worked at McColl Partners, a middle-market investment bank.
